Coolest Walk On Earth – Sunday 23rd February
Holyrood Park

Join an expert geologist and a Ranger on a guided walk to discover how the landscape of Holyrood Park, one of Edinburgh top attractions, has been shaped and sculpted by ice through the ages. Explore areas of the park to learn how to identify distinctive land features left by glaciers.

This is a strenuous walk which lasts three hours and will involve steep inclines, declines and rough terrain. The content is pitched at an audience aged 16+.

In the list of unusual things to do in Edinburgh, one of those would probably be to meet Gilbert Savage! An Englishman, a prisoner of the Scots, who, given the choice of either to kill or be killed, is now the Executioner. Resplendent in black and equipped with ‘heading axe’, ropes, knives, and all the other ‘tools’ of his gruesome trade, he recounts the nature of crime & punishment during the turbulent times in Medieval Scotland.
