Farmer's Market Cooking Experience

An inspiring shopping and cooking experience...

Have you ever wondered how the mind of an award winning chef works...well now you can find out. 

Let The Bonham's Executive Head Chef, Michel Bouyer, escort you to Edinburgh's Farmers Market. Spend time shopping with Michel, selecting ingredients to create a delicious seasonal dinner party menu. Michel will then whisk you back to the comfort of The Bonham, where you will watch him prepare your dinner using the local produce you have selected during the day.

Farmer's Market Trip - Sample itinerary

Day One

4pm      Arrive at The Bonham - recently voted Scottish Boutique Hotel of the Year.  You will be accommodated in one of our individually designed luxury bedrooms.

7.30pm Taxi transfer to The Bonham's sister property, The Howard, for dinner.  Dine in The Atholl restaurant where you'll enjoy traditional Scottish fayre, meticulously prepared by our dedicated team of chefs.

10pm    Taxi transfer back to The Bonham

Day Two

8am      Breakfast at leisure at The Bonham

9am      Join Michel on a visit to Edinburgh's award winning Farmer's Market.  Michel will guide you through the seasonal produce, identifying ripe fruits, locally produced vegetables, fresh cuts of meat and local cheeses to create a three course dinner party menu.

12noon  Return to The Bonham for lunch in our award winning restaurant. 

2pm      Join Michel for a cookery demonstration as he shows you how to prepare your dinner using the produce you have selected at the Farmer's Market earlier in the day.  You will hear Michel's cooking secrets and have the opportunity to ask questions and learn from an expert!

4pm      Free time to relax and get ready for dinner.

7pm      Dinner at The Bonham - your chance to sample Michel's creation.

Day Three

8am      Breakfast at leisure

12noon  Check out of The Bonham

If you have a particular interest we can tailor make a package to suit you.  This could be anything from a one to one fishing trip with Michel to hand picking some of Scotland's outstanding seasonal produce such as mushrooms or herbs.
